Fishing, whether shore side or in a boat, can be a very relaxing pastime, whether you are just learning to add bait to your hook, or are a seasoned fisherman/ woman. At High Elevation, we love fishing, and find that the cannabis experience blends perfectly with this mindful activity. But where should you go once you stop by for your goodies? These three Shelton and Olympia fishing holes are sure to catch your eye, as well as make for a great catch.
This aptly named fishing destination is excellent. With good fishing, especially trout and perch, this spot is a secret treat. Beautiful, and with a view of the mountains nearby, this place will have you daydreaming about it for long after the experience. Fly- fish for rainbow trout this spring, and try your catch over a fire later, wrapped in a simple hobo pack for best flavor. Make sure to pack some garlic and onion!
Woodland Creek Community Park
Woodland Park is a great place to fish, and in fact, sports a fishing dock! This park also features nice walking trails, the convenience of modern restrooms, and even barbeques for after you catch your prize fish! There is also great opportunity for wildlife viewing, and a nine hole disk golf course. This fishing spot would be great for a family friendly day, with lots of different activities to entertain the young ones.
Whether you want bass, perch, or rainbow trout this delightful fishing spot has it all. Coastal Cutthroat is also in season this March, and makes for a delicious meal. This park is complete with a boat launch area, restrooms, and is open year round. Spring time is a great time to fish here, but if you miss it, fall also brings a bountiful fish harvest. Not great at fishing, or want a great beverage when you are finished? Check out Spencer Lake Resort for an amazing meal, and stop by High Elevation for your Cannabis needs on the way home!
